Security

We can find security in knowing Jesus. It's in the Bible, I John 4:18, TLB. "We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; His perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what He might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what He might do to us, and shows that we are not fully convinced that He really loves us."

We can have security in the midst of natural disasters. It's in the Bible, Psalm 46:1-3, TLB. "God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble. And so we need not fear even if the world blows up, and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam; let the mountains tremble!"

We can be secure knowing that God never sleeps, but watches over us. It's in the Bible, Psalm 121:2-4, NIV. "My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."

Security is having a settled mind. It's in the Bible, Psalm 112:7-8, TLB. "He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen. For he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. That is why he is not afraid but can calmly face his foes."

We need the security of being under Christ's protection. It's in the Bible, John 6:39, TLB. "And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those He has given Me, but that I should raise them to eternal life at the Last Day."

We need the security that comes from knowing we have eternal life. It's in the Bible, I John 5:11-12, TLB. "And what is it that God has said? That He has given us eternal life and that this life is in His Son. So whoever has God's Son has life; whoever does not have His Son, does not have life. I have written this to you who believe in the Son of God so that you may know you have eternal life."
